We can only speculate what will be the go-to style for the coming colder months, but something I can feel brewing stronger than other styles is the preppy look. Think Gossip Girl, knee high boots and/or socks, pleated skirts, crewneck sweatshirts with a collar poking over the top, waistcoats, you get the idea.
With the resurgence of 90s and 00s fashion, I think we could be seeing a lot more of the shirts, layering and blazers we have seen recently but with the added twist of things like legwarmers, frills and the return of the bomber jacket.
The shoes of the season will be loafers and knee high boots, and retro hair clips, fluffy bucket hats and shoulder bags aren't going away any time soon.
Colour palettes will darken, but that will by no means result in a lack of creativity or coordination. I am hoping this trend will also bring back natural and imperfect beauty, continuing the trend of throwing your hair up in a claw clip and swapping harsh contour for a 'clean girl aesthetic' everyday glow.
